Good to know

Does Markeen tell me what dose to take?
No. Markeen records the schedule and amounts you and your clinician decided on, reminds you on time and keeps an accurate log. It never suggests, calculates or checks doses.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works on your phone without signing up. An account is only needed if you choose encrypted sync between devices, which is part of Premium.
Who can see my records?
Only you. Records are encrypted on your phone. If you turn on sync, they’re encrypted before they leave the device with a key protected by your passphrase, so we can’t read them.
Will reminders show my medication on the lock screen?
Not unless you want them to. By default a reminder just says a dose is due. You can choose to show names in Settings.
What happens if I stop paying for Premium?
Your records stay on your phone, and reminders, logging and the JSON export keep working. Premium features such as sync and the PDF summary pause until you resubscribe.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, at any time and for free: a complete JSON export of everything you’ve entered. Premium adds a printable PDF visit summary and a CSV file for spreadsheets.
